Just a quick picture from the hospital, even though I'm SURE
you've been satisfied with the plain old text we sent
yesterday. We are doing well and will be home tomorrow. More
details on the little man's arrival to come... but for now
I'll just say that he has surprised me on several accounts.
Over NINE pounds? (The doc had estimated 8 even) All that
DARK HAIR? (Brian and I were both blond baldies) He's a good
nurser? (Katy had SUCH hard time)
So already I can see that this experience will be totally
different, and I'm really excited to get started. Love you
all, thanks for all the congrats and prayers.

He's lovely!!! Congratulations again to you both. I'm really looking forward to meeting him.
Em & Brian - he's beautiful and perfect! Congratulations again! I LOVE those cheeks!! Can't wait to meet him!!
What a sweetie. He is so cute! It sounds like he's a wonderful babies. I've heard that bigger babies sometimes are better nursers (mine wasn't, but that was for other reasons). Tells you how off those ultrasounds are huh. That happened to me too. The day before I had my son, an ultrasound predicted 8 1/2 lbs. My OB told me he was guessing closer to 9 lbs, and my son was born at 9 lbs 11 oz. I won't trust an ultrasound for accurate size again. You did well, though, Emily. He's a cutie!
OH MY GOD! The CHEEKS! The NOSE! HE looks SO MUCH like Katy!
Congrats congrats congrats. I am so happy for you and so glad he's already a champion nurser. Yes, I think you are right that this babyhood will be different.
Cannot WAIT to hear more. Thanks for posting the photo!
What a sweet picture! Even though you aren't the focus, I can see you smiling. I think that you'll enjoy the baby phase much more this time around. Can't wait to hear more about David's arrival. Congrats again on your (not so) little blessing!
He is amazing--I can't get enough of those cheeks! :) Thanks so much for posting the picture. Can't wait to see more. We are so glad to hear that you all are doing so well.
He's beautiful! And I can see Katy so clearly! Praying for your transition from mother of one to mother of two, and please remember that we'd love to have Katy over sometime when you need a little one on one time with David. R would LOVE a playmate!!
